    On Friday one of our engineers uncovered a bug involving Kickstarter's private API, which is used to display projects on the Kickstarter homepage. This bug allowed some data from unlaunched projects to be made accessible via the API.     On Tuesday, a U.S. Senate Subcommittee will hold a hearing on a bill from Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders that would use an Open Innovation prize model to push forward the development of more effective and affordable drugs to treat HIV/AIDS. The bill S. 1138 would "eliminate legal barriers to generic competition for HIV/AIDS drugs and reward innovation directly, through a $3 billion a year prize fund," according to a statement from the Senator's office.     Crowdsourcing has been a popular crisis mapping tool. Used to map a wide range of issues, crowdsourcing makes it easier for a large group of people from all over a region, city, country, etc., to document where problems are occurring and when. This information is used to help respond to problems, provide aid to regions that need it and keep the public up-to-date on issues as they progress. At the International Conference of Crisis Mappers in November, Gregory Asmolov spoke about using crisis mapping and crowdsourcing in Russia, and how they are tools of mutual aid.
